VISITING PROFESSOR OF YIDDISH STUDIES The Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies at New York University is pleased to invite applications for the Rauch Visiting Professor of Yiddish Studies starting September 1, 2003. This one-year appointment is renewable annually for a maximum of three years, pending administrative and budgetary approval. It is anticipated that the appointee will have a record of significant publications in some aspect of Yiddish Literature and culture. It is also expected that the appointee will have a record of publications based on original scholarly work in Yiddish texts and will be capable of teaching graduate-level courses involving reading of Yiddish texts in the original. Rank will be commensurate with the scholarly accomplishments of the successful candidate.
