I love parade!
I can't add a lot to what Tal said, but I will add this: It is based on a real accident, but till this very day no-one knows if the man was guilty or not, Yes, he's Jewish, so it's easy for us to think he was innocent, but history doesn't tell us that. Also, he ran a sweatshop, so he had his faults too
Also, among the works of Jason Robert Brown, this was the least succesful, but it's beautiful nonetheless. It has some great songs like "the old red hills of home" and "that's what he said". None of these songs are famous, but they are fantastic. In Musical Theatre film lab we saw some videos from the show, including a beautiful solo of the canadian performer Brent Carver, who I'm learning to love here. This school teaches me so much, I wish I could share it all with you guys. But Parade is one of the things I was introduced to here and I love it.
