You have some really valuable stamps there
Most of what you have shown has very little value- especially the European stuff, and Cook Islands.
here in London, stamps like that are sold to collector at 10 pence each, with discounts for complete sets.
However, I did see two sets, and they have great value.
If you look first at your post with 4 images
on page 4, you have two sets from Taiwan.
The set of 4 stamps, showing images of chinese emparors values 0.80 2.00 3.20 4.00
This set is valued at $515, and if you search ebay you will see it on offer between $250 to $500.
The set shown on page 4 below the emaprors set- two stamps show images of horses - face value 1.40 1.00, and two stamps show plants and birss -value 1.00 amd 2.00.
.It is catalogued at $50.
You also sent another batch of 2 images. one of the pages shows japanese figures.
at the top of the page, there is a long stamp colour violet and face value of 5.00.
this is catalogued at $50.
The stamp next to it with the year '1957' is worth about $10.
So, in summary:
most of the collection appears to comtain cheap stamps.
But the stamps from Asia appears to have some value.
what you need to do next?
firstly, try searching ebay:
search for Taiwan stamps, and then sort the result by value.
try to identify the stamps from your collection and match them to what is shown on ebay.
repeat it with the Japanese stamps.
Try to search the collection and identify any other sets from the 1946-1956 period. those are likely to have some value.
try and search on ebay- per country- and year and see what they are being offered for.
By looking at ebay, at least you would have some sort of an idea what to do next.
The Taiwanese stamps and the simgle 5.00 Japanese stamps ought to be sold by auction, as they are valuable stamps.
You need to have your collection valued and if you want to sell, sell it by auction.
Note: I mentioned a catlogue value of $500.
that normally does not mean you will be getting $500 for the set. I would think of $250-300- but only if you sell it directly on ebay.
if you sell it to a dealer, you'd be lucky to get $50-100.
So please take your time to investigate and identify the collection. the more you know, the better, and you stand to get more money for it.
Hope it helps, and good luck with it.
