איך נכנסים לביקור ?

את אמא לא ראיתי כבר יותר משנה. לפני קצת יותר משנה היא עברה לארצות הברית והתחתנה. לפני שבוע חזרתי מטיול במזרח ועבודה כרגע אין לי. אני חושש לגשת לבקש ויזה מחשש שלא תאושר . גם לגבי קבלת גרין כארד או אשרת שהיה ועבודה זמנית לא ברור לי מה קורה וכמה זה יארך. מי יודע? תודה

Two punchs

1. you have your mother and your new "American Father" write a letter saying that they haven't seen you for a year and they want you to come visit. Make sure it is clear that you father is an American Citizen. Add this to the visa application. If this doesn't work and your visa application is denied it is time to make some noise. Have your new "American Father" write a polite letter to his congressman or congeresswoman stating how much they miss you and how the embassy in Israel didn't approve your visa for no reason etc. call his/her office and fax the letter. This is an election year and there is a good chance people would like to follow up on things that like that. If you live in NY you might even want to adress it to your senator.... she might be interested... The same applys for any other unfair treatment by immigration officials that has no well explained reason (a well explained reason for example would be that they think you visited Afganistan) It seems over reacting but it is not. The way the embassy in Tel Aviv handles visas for Israelis has gone to an extreme never seen before. One would assume the silence from the Israeli foreign minister is no coincidence.... Good luck

את המכתב הראשון שיצורף לבקשת הויזה, כדאי שההורים יכתבו, ולא המועמד. אני כתבתי מכתב כזה לבן דוד שבא לביקור, והוא קיבל ויזה, ואני לא אזרחית.
