If by "van" you mean Vancouver, I went to Pacific Crossing. Told the Americans I'm doing Landing in Canada, they gave me a note for the Canadian immigration, I did a U-turn, gave the note to the canadian border guard and told him I'm doing Landing, he asked me to go inside the building, where I did the landing in 10 minutes. The only thing is: Don't go when the border crosing lines are long (on either side)... you will wait for hours - . Check out the border crossing website before you drive there
