here is a saying that is very similar in japanese and hebrew or english but it's meaning is totaly different. 心如鉄石 in simple japanese-心 鉄と石の如し rmaji-kokoro tetsu to ishi no gotoshi meaning- heart like iron and stone when i was offered to write this in calligraphy lesson at first i said no and explaind that it does not have a good meaning. they exolained to me that in japanese it does have a good meaning. it means a heart that is がんこう、stubborn. stubborn in a sense of knowing what he want, stands on his own, doesn't give up.
