The DC30plus is compatible with Windows 2000 when you use either the 1.41a or 1.42 drivers. Often, the trouble with running the DC30plus under Windows 2000 is related to a configuration problem with installing the DC30plus, a configuration problem with the system itself, or hardware compatibility with the type of computer the DC30plus is installed in. The DC30plus requires its drivers to be installed. Windows drivers will not work with the DC30plus. To be certain that the DC30plus drivers are installed correctly, we recommend that you install the DC30plus software first, followed by the installation of the DC30plus board. When you upgrade your system to Windows 2000, it is important to make sure you have updated your entire system. This includes installing the proper display drivers and any BIOS revisions. Windows 2000 may lock up if Plug and Play OS is enabled or you are running in ACPI mode; if you experience lockups and do not have any perceivable hardware conflicts, try turning off PnP OS or ACPI. Often, an installation or performance issue is related not to the operating system but rather to the compatibility of the system it is installed in. We do have known conflicts with certain computers and do offer solutions to help you work around these. However, not all computers are designed for video editing. We do have configuration guides for certain computer systems to help you more easily configure your system. These would be available by emailing your request to

You will be able to capture with the DC30plus miroVIDEO Capture utility. Regarding Windows XP, no driver for DC30 series is actually planned to support Windows XP.
