[URL='http:///'] Biography [/URL] Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, also known as the Olsen Twins, where born on June 13, 1986 to former ballet dancer Jarnette Olsen, born Fuller and mortgage broker David Olsen. Ashley two minutes before Mary-Kate. They grew up in Sherman Oaks outside Los Angeles in California, together with older brother Trent, now 18, and younger sister Elizabeth, now 12, who both have guest starred in some of Mary-Kate and Ashley´s videos and movies. The family recently moved to a gated comunity outside San Fernando Valley. Mary-Kate and Ashley look a lot alike, but actually they are not identical twins, but fraternal twins. Mary-Kate are left handed while Ashley prefer her right hand. In the year of 1994, Jarnie and David divorced, although they had been apart since june 1993 when David fell in love with galpal McKenzie Taylor, who changed name from Marta to McKenzie, 1987. Although their parents are divorced they remain good friends and continue to supervise Mary-Kate and Ashley´s careers together. The Olsen Twins are best known for sharing the role of Michelle Tanner in the ABC sitcom Full House from age of seven months to the year they turned eight. Thanks to a friend of their mother, Jarnie brought her tiny tots at the age of 6 month to Full House´s audition where they where looking for a pair of twins to share the role of baby Michelle. Mary-Kate and Ashley won the role, there where no competition. They didn´t cry as all the other babies do and seemed to be happy kids. On Full House the people could watch Michelle grow up on the show, just as Mary-Kate and Ashley grew up off screen. The world watched the cute duo learning to crawl, walk and talk, heading off to kindergarten, learning how to bike and transfer from a crib to a big girls bed. Mary-Kate and Ashley became really populair and people recognized them where ever they would go in public. In 1990, the girls had become so popular so a talking doll the "Michelle Doll" was modeled after them. While making Full House Mary-Kate and Ashley also starred in their fist movie "To Grandmothers House We Go" and made singing career. In 1992, the twins very first album "Borther For Sale" released. People loved the twins and wanted more. The parents had too much to do, infact they both worked full time, David had a full time job at a bank in Los Angeles and Jarnie took care of the children at home. Jill Zimmerman was hired to look after Mary-Kate and Ashley, drove them to the studio and supervised as their nanny. David Thorne was also contacted and he formed a production company, Dualstar, for the girls. Mary-Kate and Ashley made another sucessful album called "I am the Cute One" and starred in two more tv movies before it was time to say goodbye to the cast of Full House in 1994. After Full House, the people thought it was the end for the twins career, so did Jarnie and Dave and they where worried that loosing the attention so fast would make Mary-Kate and Ashley feel lonely and not loved. In concern of the twins after parents divorce and loosing their second home at Full House, David and Jarnie put Mary-Kate and Ashley in a theraphy group. But after Full House, Mary-Kate and Ashley´s careers blossomed even more. They did now have the opportunity to work on bigger projects. They starred in a big screen movie "It Takes Two" appeared on numerous tv movies, recorded music albums, made TV specials and also released two hot-selling home video series, "The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley" and "You´re invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley´s"about +10 titles which ended in early 2000. There are also book series based on their characters going on. They were also and still are featured in many magazines like People, Teen Beat, LA Times and more. Not to forget to mention the popular cruises arranged by Sail with the Stars every year where people can go on a cruise and meet Mary-kate and Ashley on their special hosted parties. The cruise have been going to ports like, Caribbean (twice), Bahamas, Alaska, Sweden, Russia and Estonia. Mary-Kate and Ashley look alot alike and for some events they even dress alike and have the same hair styles. But at home they are very different. Mary-Kate´s style is more funky Ashley is more classy. Their interests is also alot different from each other. Mary-Kate has a horse to take care of and she is a very good horse rider. Some day she would like to become a pro horse rider. Ashley have a passion in golf, she loves golfing she also likes to dance, but she quit dance classes because of time limits. Both girls take tae bo boxing lessons. There are alot of things they have in comon as well, they love to hang out at the mall, go to concerts, movies, shopping and have dinner with their friends. Both of them have their own friends but they also share some of them. Boys are also on the list of interests. Ashley and Mary-Kate have dated alot. They both went to a high school dance, Ashley with a date from school and Mary-Kate with a friend of their older brother. In 1998, the girls took the chance and returned to television. In Two of A Kind, which aired for one season, Mary-Kate and Ashley played characters based on themselves but exagerated. The series did pretty well and it surprised everyone íf not Mary-Kate and Ashley, that the series got canceled by ABC. The girls where pretty sad for a while. But heads up, Mary-Kate and Ashley filmed 4 other dualstar feature films in 4 years. 1998, Billboard Dad, filmed in Canada, 1999, Passport to Paris, where the girls got to go to Paris to shoot, 2000, Our Lips are Sealed which was filmed in Australia, 2001, Winning London filmed in London and also appeared in one of disneys TV movies Switching Goals. In august of 2001, Mary-Kate and Ashley went to Bahamas and shot a movie which was realesed in November 2001. With all these movies going on there are still lot´s of stuff going on in multimilionares Mary-Kate and Ashley´s careers. They had barbie dolls modeled after them, video games featuring them, fun club, a mega hit web site, fashion line at Wal-Mart, magazine and now they also starr in their third mega hit TV series on Fox Family Channel "So Little Time". Which is now finished after Just 26 episodes. Even through Mary-Kate and Ashley have one of the busiest schedule in Hollywood they still go to school when ever they can, they are now Sophomores in High School, which they both find hard to believe. They are both in the same class. When they are on location they have a tutor coming with them so they can keep up the work with the rest of the class. They Have Filmed A Movie Called Getting There and have recently came back from Rome and filmed there movie "When In Rome" at the end of this year they will film a movie which will be coming out in cinema´s
