Dean (the AI hairdresser) on Drex's show on KISS-FM Chicago this week: *first he talked about the phone scandal from last night. He said they discovered the error actually last night right after the show. said there was a lot of screaming & yelling. He said they taped the show Monday night & the editors had all Tuesday to edit it & they still made this huge error – people were fired on the spot last night when it happened. Fox had to scramble to change their whole lineup for tonight & tomorrow. *they talked a little about the Mario thing. He said he really didn’t know what happened but that he thinks Mario got another deal with one of clive davis’s other record companies like Jive Records. He said when the true story comes out we’ll probably all be like ‘so what’. *drex (the dj) brought up the fact that simon fuller takes 50% of the idols earnings & dean said, of course – he feels he’s made them a star. Dean said that’s why the idols have all left 19, he specifically mentioned Kelly. *dean said it is very different having older contestants on – he called last year ‘adolescent idol’. He said these people are more equipped to handle all the pressure of everything they have to do. *regarding paula, he joked that, yeah they all think she’s on something. He said he asked her makeup guy what he’s putting in her lipstick – it must work fast! He thinks because of the hit & run thing, she is trying to compensate for the bad publicity by being overly happy & in a good mood. Regarding the contestants, he said: *Anthony - is a nice guy & he really tries to make him not look like clay *Carrie – is a great singer but she’s not all there. He said when you talk to her it’s like you hear crickets! Lol! *Nadia – he likes her a lot, loves working with her hair. Says she’s not the best singer, but her personality will take her through the competition *Mikalah – not the best singer but he LOVES her, she has the best personality – so fun *Jessica – said she complains a lot, kind of a negative person *Bo – he really like him he thinks Scott is a really nice guy eventhough he looks like a 'killer' & he feels soo bad for him 'cause he has NO ONE come to the show for him, no family or friends support him! he said scott really felt like he had to do AI just to prove he can amount to something.
