הערות והארות לתרגום השיר אשירה לידידי באנגלית

שלום לכם,
חבר שאינו דובר עברית ביקש שאתרגם לו את השיר 'אשירה לידידי' לאנגלית. מדובר בתרגום לשימוש עצמי - הבנה, אבל אשמח שיהיה גם תרגום יפה ואנגלית נכונה.
כתבתי מה שביכולתי להפיק ואשמח להערות והארות.

שיפצרתי ותיקנתי קצת את האנגלית, השתדלתי לשמור על המשקל.

אך חריזה היתה מעבר לגבולות הזמן שיכולתי להקדיש. ייתכן גם שפיספתי פה ושם את כוונת המשורר....
