New life
Hi Noam I would not go to the extreme and say that “there is no way to make a living”, from my own past experience you can save more in the states than in Israel for the same type of technical jobs (as mentioned by your title). It is all up to you, where you work, your standard of living, are you a heavy consumer or frugal, do you invest your money or spend it etc’. The job market in the states for good technology people is better (only my opinion) than in Israel, it is not as good as the bubble days however you can still make a decent living. Housing and especially rent can be and is higher than in Israel however other expenses are lowered and you have a wide array of options about places to live. It is all up to you. As Doron and Odedee have said it is up to you to do the moving. You can not do it remotely. My suggestion if I may, which is a bit harsh however is realistic is to get your Green Card first than come for 2-3 months to the states and start looking if this is what you want with your life (maybe your work place will give you this as a “special vacation”) you will need to be a way from the family and friends but as saying goes “the biggest risk is not taking one” Please let me know if you would like to chat over the phone about it. Good luck.
