Description
The Wapta Icefield is a series of glaciers near the Icefield Parkway (North of Lake Louise). We traverse the Icefield and stay in alpine huts along the way. This an excellent introduction to ski traverses, glacier travel, roped skiing, avalanche safety & flat light or whiteout navigation. Expect a variety of skiing conditions from powder to crust! You will be contacted in the weeks prior to the trip to make food arrangements and organize car pooling if desired.
To do this tour you should be at least a strong intermediate skier in good physical condition and able to carry a pack with 4 days food.
Withdrawal / Transfer Policy
$100 deposit required to register. Withdrawal/transfer before March. 2nd, 2016 is subject to a $100 fee. No refund on or after this date.

Since this course takes place in a National Park, minors (under 19) MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
