כנס תעופה מקומי בטכסס ארה"ב...
רציתי להעביר לפורום התרשמות של אורח בכנס תעופה שנערך במרכז טקסס. המדווח הוא אחד מבוני RV8. הכנס, אגב, היה כנס כללי ולאו דוקא של מטוסי ואנס. Wow, Just got back from the Central TX RV Fly-in. What a blast. I heard there were more than 140 RV´s at the little grass strip. Mary and I were too enthralled to count. The hosts were great, even providing a BBQ lunch for nothing but a donation! It´s true, RV folks ARE great. Lots of people to talk to! I was surprised to be recognized as "you´re that guy that is selling his Glasair to build a RV8!" After lunch the airshow began with groups of RVs taking off one after another, holding it down and waving as they went by, then popping up above the trees at the end of the runway. Some even came back for the 200 MPH pass 2 feet off the grass, then pulled up at impossible angles into the perfect summer sky. In case any feds are reading this, I will state that no rolls were performed after the pull-ups! Amazing displays of performance. All was well coordinated by the un-offical tower, including a couple of formation fly-bys! Hey, this was more fun than Reno!
