Sfaety of the McKenzie method
A little correction: Although traditionally more successful in spinal problems related to disc dysfunction, the method, by defenition, is not only for disc problems. The "orthopedic" diagnosis has no relevance to the efficacy of the method. It is the proper MECHANICAL EVALUATION, performed by the experienced, credentialed therapist that will determine the patient's prognosis. With proper evaluation and re-assessment skills, other spinal related problems can be treated as well. One of the important things that are in the core of the method is the ability to treat safely, or avoid treating any mechanical diagnosis of th espine, however to be able to do so th etherapist has to be credentialed by the McKenzie institute and experienced using the method.!
