Joint Mammoth Ski Trip with JSki, Nexus and Kesher Israeli, February 8-11, 2007 Come play in the snow with Mosaic, Nexus and Kesher Israeli as we join JSki for a winter trip to Mammoth Lakes. Mammoth Mountain (www.mammothmountain.com) offers superb skiing (downhill and cross-country) and snowboarding, as well as dog sledding and snow-mobiling. Mammoth has a great ski school, and beginners are welcome. This event lends itself perfectly to everyone: from the non down hill skier who wants to learn to ski, to the advanced down hill skier, to non skiers who just want to come and play in the snow :) And we are trying to accommodate everyones needs: from those who would like a longer weekend with an extra day of skiing to those who cannot take that much time off work. So, there are TWO options available to you: Option #1 -- Thurs. thru Sun. 2/8 to 2/11. This is a NON bus option; participants will be encouraged to arrange their own carpools (well provide you with a list of participants once it becomes finalized). You reserve by rsvping to [email protected] ; see below for details. Cost: $150.00 -- All payments are FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. Option #2 -- Fri. thru Sun. 2/9 to 2/11. This is the bus option; participants join JSki on their bus and reserve with Howard at JSki -- see below for details. Cost: $199.00 40 spots are being reserved for all of the groups until January 9 after which our groups will be competing for spots on the bus/condos with other customers of the tour operator that arranges the transportation and accommodations. Everyone will join the JSki Saturday night party (see option 2 below for details). Skiers also have the option of joining JSki for breakfast and lunch on the slopes, as well as skiing with them, and those signing up with JSki would be welcome at any non-ski activities Mosaic planned. For those who do not wish to snow ski or board, snowmobiling, dog sledding, cross-country skiing are alternative activities. Please see Attachment titled Other Activities At Mammoth or go to www.mammothmountain.com. Regardless of which option you are interested in, please read this announcement in its entirety as it has lots of useful information and it will answer most of your questions. Option #1 -- Thurs. thru Sun. 2/8 to 2/11 Includes Lodging for 3 nights and Friday night Shabbat dinner. Potential participants that keep kosher should contact the organizer at [email protected]. There is a TWO step process to reserve and sign up: Step 1: Send email to [email protected] with the following info: Your name, address, e-mail address and phone numbers (home/work/cell)? Are you willing to drive? If so, how many people including yourself will your car hold (with gear)? Riders are expected to compensate the driver for gas. When are you available to leave the LA area? If you are a couple or if there is someone else you will travel with, that youd like to share a room with, please let us know their name. If you are traveling alone, are you willing to share a bed/bedroom? (assignments will be made based on same sex) Step 2: Send payment -- after receiving your email, the organizer will contact you with more information about payment. PLEASE NOTE: you will NOT be confirmed for the trip until we receive your check and you receive a confirmation email from the organizer. Once confirmed, all payments are FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. Option #2 -- Fri. thru Sun. 2/9 to 2/11 Includes round trip transportation via luxury bus (video, bathroom, reclining seats) and 2 nights lodging in luxurious condos (fireplace, kitchen, color TV, Jacuzzi), round trip transportation to and from the condos/slopes. Includes JSKI's own lively dinner, wine & hors doeuvres party. This is one of the highlights of the trip. Last year, all the furniture in the living room was moved aside and the room was converted into a dance floor. Please err on the side of generosity and creativity in bringing along hors doeuvres or wine for the party. A good suggestion is to stop by Trader Joes or Whole Foods Market just before you board the bus. We normally eat breakfast & lunch together on the slopes (you may venture out on your own too or cook breakfast in the condos) and eat dinner together. Bus departs from the Irvine Transportation Center at 3:00 PM (IF AND ONLY IF there are at least 10 people interested in picking up the bus at that location), the Federal building at 5:15 pm and from the Van Nuys Flyaway at 6:15 pm. The bus returns to the Flyaway at about 9:15 pm and to the Federal Building at about 10:00pm on Sunday and then at Irvine. For full details (and the fine print) see Attachment titled: JSki Flier and/or contact Howard at 818-342-9508 or email [email protected].
