From Kristin at E! Online Michael Vartan & Jennifer Garner, Alias Offscreen: Despite all those crazy breakup rumors (ahem, Ted Casablanca, ahem), reliable sources close to set tell me Michael and Jennifer are still very much together...as of this week. "They went through a rough patch a few weeks ago," one insider tells me, "but they've worked it out." Which would explain why Michael's rep has been telling anyone who'll listen that they have not split. (I know--a publicist telling the truth? Whodathunkit?) If you're hankering for more proof, check out this week's Us Weekly. The mag has pics of Michael leaving Jen's house Mar. 20-21. Meanwhile, in case you (like me) lie awake at night wondering whether Jen's ex, Scott Foley, is surviving this big, bad world without her (or if, please, oh please, he needs my sympathy lovin'), it turns out he's doing just fine. Better than fine. Word is, right around the time Jen and Michael hit their "rough patch," Scott started house hunting with his new flame, Marika Dominczyk, star of the WB's latest sitcom flop, The Help. The two have also been spotted at various Hell-Ay locales (Barnes & Noble, Baja Fresh) locking lips--and hammering nails into the coffin of my dream of becoming Mrs. Noel Crane. Hmph. Onscreen: (Slightly spoilerish info here, so read at your own risk.) There might just be hope for Vaughn and Syd. After last week's episode, in which Lauren (Melissa George) lured back her estranged hubby by killing her own father (c'mon, you'd do it, too, if you had a shot at Michael Vartan), that martial phase is nearly over. I know many of you are hoping Vaughn will gouge out Lauren's bug eyes and squash them like grapes (or is that just me?), but he'll do the next best thing: Bug the bedroom. Yep, that two-faced trollop is going down. (See our last chat for more details.) Aw, yeah!
