מקווה שתסתדרי... Into My Life Original air date: June 15, 2004 Written by Katie Botel Directed by Matt Shakman What's the drama: Nikki is having a lot of fun hanging out with Cameron and invites him over to help paint her room. Bradin, knowing he's lost Erika to Jay for the moment, decides to hang out and surf by himself. When he ends up back on the beach with a cut on his foot a beautiful girl walks up and offers help. Johnny has promised a so-far-uncoordinated Derrick he'll help him learn to hit a baseball so he'll do more than ride the bench during games. Promises were made to be broken however, and Johnny's devotion to his job distracts him from helping Derrick. What's up Bradin: Sarah Borden, Bradin's guardian angel on the beach, turns out to be a rich and somewhat bizarre girl. She gives him a tour of the manse and they go swimming. At dinner she convinces the waiter they're celebrating their third anniversary and are on the way home to their new baby - which scores them a free dessert. That's all weird and cool, until Sarah pulls out a joint and offers it to Bradin. He's conflicted about what to do, not wanting to seem uncool. Later on when they go surfing she gives him another joint to hang on to. Ava stumbles over his backpack and discovers the joint, putting her in the tough position of what to do about it. What's up with Derrick and Johnny: Johnny stops by the real estate office on the way to Derrick's baseball practice for "just a minute" and gets sucked in to a power struggle with co-worker Lauren. The promotion he's spent years working for is on the line - whoever sells the most property in a new development gets the job. Johnny apologizes for taking so long, but it looks like Derrick's not even going to make it to practice. The next day Cameron offers to help Derrick learn to hit and even goes to the game to cheer him on. Johnny has promised he'll be there but doesn't show up until Derrick's struck out, ending the game. Johnny once again promises to be there for him and Derrick asks him not to make any more promises. Later, Ava tells Johnny that Derrick has quit the team. What's up with Nikki: She's totally infatuated with Cameron and they have a blast throwing paint at each other and "decorating" her room. Ava's worried she's growing up too fast and insists they keep the door open. Cameron begins to spend more and more time helping Derrick and attending games instead of hanging out with Nikki and going to the movies like they planned. She gets frustrated by his lack of attention and tells him she's repainting her room white. Ouch. How does it all end up: Ava confronts Bradin about the joint and he tells her it isn't his and he didn't smoke any... can't she trust him? He tries to talk to Sarah about his concerns but she drags him into a bonfire party that keeps him out all night. Jay covers for Bradin to Ava, saying he asked him to open the shop early. Bradin discovers that Ava's going to trust him to make the right decisions. Jay urges Bradin to be honest with Sarah, especially since she's the first thing that's made him happy in a long time. He tells Sarah how he feels and she says that it's not a big deal to her - but don't expect her to change her ways. Not sure how to deal with that, he says goodbye. Ava tells Nikki that Cameron is a good kid - he's really into her, but he saw that Derrick needed help and gave it to him, just as she would in the same situation. Nikki finds Cameron on the beach reading Judy Blume's "Forever Insight," trying to get some insight of his own on women. She apologizes and he offers to help her finish painting her room. Johnny's *this close* to getting the promotion but his guilt over hurting Derrick wins out. He concedes to Lauren that the job is hers and goes to make things right with Derrick. Johnny tells Derrick that he's going to the game and he's going to practice. Derrick says he doesn't want to and Johnny picks him up - carrying a giggling Derrick out of the room. Later, at the game, after getting two strikes, Derrick hits a home run, with everyone there to cheer him on.
