just a quick note let you know i am fine lisbon is nice too bad the my luggage is lost... oh well it could have been worse i could have died in a airplane accident... other that that everything is great. i am not doing too much. mostly wondering in the hot streets of lisbon , doing mostly nothing. i want to go to the beach too but first i need to find a place to buy a towel. or maybe i will steal the one from the hotel... mmm , this is it more or less. have fun... you can mail me at this address if you want too. yaron​

hello i dont have much to tell still in lisbon still doing nothing i just realized today that its my sixth day in lisbon. and i hardly even noticed it. so no really weird stories to tell. i guess its a bit too much to expect when i really doing nothing i guess lisbon is not the ideal place for vacation but im having fun... the weather is pretty bad today. a bit chilly and also raining (not too much though). of course when i just planned to try the beach.. well maybe tomorrow. the first radiohead show is later today. i am meeting my friend enela and her boyfriend and we will go there together. and now my portugueese is really imporved. i know how to say good morning (bon dia) thank you (umbrigado) and mineral water (agua mineral). now i need to work on my spanish. i am going to spain in about a week or so so thats all for now have fun i going to eat lunch now yaron​

Review by Yaron: This was the 9th Radiohead show that ive seen and definitely one of the best. First Id like to thank Enela for selling me the ticket. I arrived to the venue at about 18:30 with Enela and her boyfriend Ben. We then met Sofia, oklahoma and a few more people from the ateaseweb.com messageboard. We got in at about 20:15 or so. The venue is quite good. a bit bigger than what i expected but very nice. The sound was good. The crowd was pretty good (at least where i stood)... I was standing in the 3rd row a bit to the left just in front on Ed and not too far from Thom. I had quite a good view considering how short i am. I was actually quite surpised... Four Tet started his show at about 20:55 and played for about 45 min. He was quite ok I guess, but i got bored in the end. He just stood there playing with 2 laptop computers. Radiohead started at about 10:10. I wont bore you with the setlist as you can easily find it (top of this page, ae). They played about 7 new songs, then went off to a 20 min break and played a regular short Amnesiac setlist with a few suprises. The new songs didnt sound for me like ok computer not like Kid A stuff. most of them were quiet ballads execpt for 2 harder songs. they were all pretty good imho. thom played 3 songs in his piano. Ed and jonny played drums on the first song. The 2nd part was great too. they played a few ok computer songs as well as 2 the bends songs. of course it was a big suprise when they played lift as the first song in the encore. In the end it was a great show. Not sure it was such a great idea to play all the new songs in a row. the crowd was quite bored and only woke up when they started the regular set. but who am i to tell radiohead what to do... So it was a great show, the band were really in a great mood and so was i. too bad i can hardly walk now. i will probably just seat in the next shows or else i dont think i can survive until the end of the tour.. only 10 shows left... yaron​

last night was fantastic. the band was in such a good mood. Colin would not stop jumping up & down and smiling. Ed was all smiles. Jonny looked at the crowd alot and, well, he smiled too. even Thom was happy all the way through, seemed almost giddy at times. Phil was a grouch. just kidding. he was Phil. the new songs really are fantastic. most of them are pretty mellow. the only one that was really frenetic was "myxomatosis"-- it was perhaps my favorite of the new ones. i´ll try to give a better description of it if i hear it again tonight. also the last song they played in the 1st set, which wasn´t "punch up at a wedding" even though that´s how it´s listed, was just amazing. on a couple of the new songs (i still don´t have the names all straight) there are some gorgeous harmonies by ed. i can´t wait to get home & download them all. i wish you could ALL be here with us!!! met so many boardies yesterday... quite fun clay​

Radiohead played their first gig of this year in Lisbon, Portugal last night. The evening, with Four Tet supporting was devided into two sets. The band played new songs in their first set and old songs in their second set. They opened the first half with a song with Ed and Jonny playing drums. Apparently, some of the new songs were called, ´Scatterbrain´, ´Drunken punch up at a wedding´ & ´Little baby eyes´. These are just three titles of the nine new songs played. The tracks in the second half were (although, probably in the wrong order): i might be wrong, morning bell, you and whose army, no surprises, karma police, dollars and cents, pryamid song, idioteque, national anthem, climbing up the walls, airbag & paranoid android. The encore included lift, street spirit, my iron lung & how to disappear completely. [thanks roars, clare & cathy] More updates when I have more news. Stay tuned.​

Wow just when i thought that the 1st night show was REALLY great , came this show and proved yet again , how good radiohead can really be. this show was even better that the 1st night show. this time i stood WAY in the back but in the middle. i couldnt see anything, but i was too tired to quene before the show. i missed four tet set on purpose. i guess i will have some more oportunities to see him during the tour. first of all the band played somewhat better with less technical problems. (even though they still had some). thom was yet again in a really good mood and joked quite a lot with the crowd. they also didnt do the first 20 min break which wasnt really a good idea. the show started with some new songs. about 7 or so. then they played my favorite song "lucky". that was really great. they also played a lot of my favorites inc. exit music, fpt , my iron lung etc. another chance from the 1st night is that they also played 2 new songs in the middle of the set. one of them completely new. i thought it was quite a good idea. they also played 2 encores which was cool, the last one ended with street spirit. so i am happy now. got to meet some new at ease messageboard member. also met 2 people from israel , tommy and daddy. its nice to know that im not there completely on my own. so i am going to see them again tonight. then have one day rest and see them some more... yaron​
