שלום לכולם. אני ואישתי עוברים (מטעם העבודה שלי) לסן פרנסיסקו. המישרד של העבודה שלי נימצא בבריסבן וחשבנו על שכירת דירה במיקום שיהיה נוח לאישתי למצא עבודה בעמק הסיליקון (היא מתכנתת JAVA). האם למישהו יש מושג איפה כדאי לשכור דירה? התקציב שלנו הוא $1500-$2000 לחודש. ועוד שאלה היא מה הדרך הטובה ביותר לחפש עבודה בעמק הסיליקון (אם מישהו מכיר אתר טוב זה יכול לעזור). בתודה ערן.

the best place to be in the valley

the best place in the valley is in Sunnyvale or cupertino there's many israeli familys there...also it is not far from intel, and more software compunies the prices of houses depends on the numbers of rooms that you are looking for, as an example 4 bedrooms (it means 4 rooms, w/o living room) will be around 2500 $ but if you dont need such a big house, you will be able to find something that fits your budget. anyway you can find cheaper houses you can find cheaper houses if you rent in complex.... good luck

is not to be in the valley at all בעינינו סן פרנסיסקו היא המקום הכי נחמד באיזור. לא מסוגלים לחשוב על מגורים באוסף העיירות שבוואלי, שבשש בערב סוגרים בהן את החנויות ושמונה בערב הולכים לישון. כמובן, כל אחד ומה שמתאים לו. אם תרצו המלצות על שכונות בסן פרנסיסקו אוכל לנסות לעזור.

Thanks you but me and my wife are working in Hi-Tech so the Valley seems to be the best place for us. Even though my office is in Brisbane we still need to find a job for my wife and in the Valley the chances looks better.. dont it?

ועדיין אנחנו בוחרים לגור בסן פרנסיסקו ולנסוע שעה כל יום בכל כיוון. כל אחד וטעמו. אני לא אוהב (וזה ניסוח עדין) את הערים בעמק ולו הייתי גר שם, כנראה שממילא הייתי נוסע כל לילה להסתובב בסן פרנסיסקו...

Thanks Inbar. I realy heared about Cupertino and I will try to find an apartment there. its just me and my wife so I guess that a flat with 2-3 bedrooms will be enough. We are moving to SF by the end of the year with another 12 couples all from the same company. going into this adveture we are missing a lot of information about leaving and working in SF is there any israeli website of israeli people in SF?
