The following is a majorly cool event: On 1 July 2002 it´s International Xena MEETUP Day What is a XENA MEETUP? It´s a local gathering of a group of people brought together by a common interest. Real world, face-to-face -- maybe over coffee or a beer. So fans from around the world can get together. The site lists where fans will get together - you can vote for a venue in your own city and be kept updated about the final selection. The organisers state on their site: MEETUP has no affiliation, connection or association with any Xena-related organization. MEETUP simply provides the technology to enable Xena Fans to MEETUP with eachother locally. Hopefully, this strengthens the Xena community. MEETUP believes that people with a common interest don´t need permission from a central authority to MEETUP.
