Hi Dvora, If your husband's brother will file for him it will take almost 10 years for your husband to get his green card. That is due to the lengthy period of waiting for his category. It would be faster for your husband or yourself to come to the USA through a job offer. I would recommend coming with a job offer or finding a compnay to sponsor you while you are still in Israel. It is possible to apply for a work visa and wait for the approval in israe, the process can be done through the counsulate in israel once an approved visa is obtained. the employer deosn't need to prove that other qualified US can do the job that is a green card requirement. For an work visa like an H1B all you need is a job offer and a degree.
