הקישור My Greatest Day in Show Business: Screen Legends Share Their Fondest Memories The following is listed for Lucy Lucy Lawless Let me tell you about the best day of my career! It happened, actually, in February of 1999 I believe. That was when I discovered that MTV had built this clay figure of me playing Xena and put me into one of those Celebrity Deathmatch shows that they do. You know what I'm talking about? It's this thing where they turn you into a clay character-Claymation or whatever--and they have an announcer and it's all just so absurd. You are fighting another celebrity in the ring, right? I got to go up against Calista Flockhart from Ally McBeal. That was just no contest. I wiped the floor with that poor woman. Let me just say that I wasn't offended at all. I was floored. Of all the little merchandising knockoffs and things that haveI wiped the floor with that poor woman from Ally McBeal. featured Xena or just my face, this one really hit home for me. It was like--my God, I'm part of popular culture! There is an offensive clay image of me on TV, and I'm trying to tear apart an equally offensive clay likeness of another actress! It was all just so surreal to me. How can it ever get any better than that? I simply don't think it can
