סקר: מי מבין את תאוריית Maekawa?

מעניין אותי לדעת אם מישהו כאן מבין את הכתוב בעמוד 79 של "קסמי אוריגמי" על תאוריית מאקווה? אני לא הבנתי שם כלום, וקראתי זאת שוב ושוב. קראתי גם את הגירסה האנגלית של הספר וגם שם לא החכמתי. אז מעניין אותי לדעת אם מישהו מכם הבין זאת. ואם תשובתכם היא כן - אשמח להסברים!

Maekawa's Theory

I'm not clear which of Maekawa's ideas is officially his 'Theory'. There are 2 candidates that I'm aware of: 1. A Paper of his in the Proceedings of the '2nd Origami Science and Art' conference from 1994, entitled 'Similarity in Origami' which is a look at how fractals relate to crease patterns (or is it the other way around!), in which he shows how repeating a simple crease pattern across a sheet at different scales can generate complex fractal-like forms or 2. His technique of creating many fingers/toes/claws from a simple pleat. Now that I think about it, the 2 seem related, at least to my non-expert mind. Regards, Paul Jackson

Hi, Thanks for your answer. Is there any written information on the subject that is readily available (i.e. in print, or obtainable), and that is comprehensible (i.e. not in Japanese. I can cope with complicated mathematics, but not with Japanese). Thanks, Boaz
