pocketnow and Compaq Announce new Authorized Support Forum January 28, 2002 Article by: Derek Snyder, Chief Executive Officer There are always new things happening here at pocketnow.com, and I´d like to take this opportunity to tell you about the latest and greatest. For the past year, pocketnow.com has been on the cutting edge by providing you with a forum to voice your complaints and compliments of the third party hardware and software products available for the Pocket PC. These Authorized Support Forums were created to forge a direct line of communication between the developer and the end-user. Now, for the first time, pocketnow.com has joined forces with a major Pocket PC manufacturer. Compaq Computer Corporation and pocketnow.com have worked together throughout the past four months to iron out the details of the all-new Compaq Authorized Support Forum. Here, visitors are free to voice their concerns and comments regarding the Compaq iPAQ line of Pocket PCs to actual Compaq engineers, head-to-head. They will work with you in finding both explanations and solutions to your problem. Do note that there are a few minor "rules" in using the forum, posted in the form of an announcement, but we believe these trivialities are a small price to pay for such direct contact with Compaq. The Compaq Authorized Support Forum does not allow you to reply to someone else´s support request, and so does not replace the similarly-branded forums, Compaq iPAQ H3100, H3600, and H3700 Series and Compaq iPAQ H3800 Series, which are a place where you can freely interact with our iPAQ users. On behalf of everyone here at pocketnow.com, we are very excited about this new forum, and hope that you will use it on a regular basis to obtain topnotch, direct iPAQ answers. Who ever said that waiting on the line for hours is the only way to get real technical support? Click the link below to get started, and let us know what you think about the new forum in this article´s discussion thread! FORUM GOES LIVE AT 8:00 AM CST (9:00 AM EST) on January 29, 2002.
