I’m not so sure about MD-80 but I can tell you that in the plane that I fly on, we usually have a forward Center of Gravity, and that is because of the fuel tanks, that are located in the wings, are closer to the forward section of the aircraft, therefore when we have full fuel, and not a lot of baggage( which is located in the rear section of the aircraft-cargo compartment) and the gate agent didn’t spread the passenger in the right way, I am going to ask the flight attended to remove people from the forward section to the aft section, in order to balance the plane, and that is only the plane is exceeding the forward CG limits.
