there is a lot of changes, as u can read above, but the realy diffrence that did it for me is the fact that the "MeshSmooth" keeps the UVW Mapping from below, in max 3 it didn´t work as well, and u´d have to to map and skin after the subdivision and that mad it almost impossible to work on big characters, another thing they made more clear is the envalopes and bones, now u can see where xcatly the bone will infulance and everything can be a bone, so u can visualise u´r object more clearly, off course there is the "Constrains" in the animation panel,and who can forget the "IK Chain" and the swivel angles, now u can realy create a character, map it, skin it and set-up in less the 5 hours, the option to customize the keyboard and the menus, is another one, it realy upgrade it self to "Maya " level but still keeps the simplisity of Max, it still missing some other thing that XSI and MAYA provide (Decent partical system, render, animation editor, nurbs, dynamics etc) but it´ll get there, i want to know if someone switched to 4.2 and if its realy better Dror
