Things that might make a difference in your Aliyah are: -at what age you were adopted -if you were raised as a Jew -if you had a bar/bat mitzvah -if you consider yourself Jewish and lead a Jewish life I have a friend who made Aliyah last year. Her mother is not Jewish but her father is. She made the decision, when she was still a child, that she wanted to be Jewish. Because her mother was not Jewish, she underwent a conversion. I don't know if that was necessary for her to make Aliyah or not, but I'm sure it made things a lot easier for her.
