an idea
somebody was talking about getting a little bit into japanese culture and since some people showed positive response it gave me an idea that will involve the languege. we can get a pick into japanese way of thinking from japanese proverb. my idea is to write a proverb in kanji (if possible) then write the hiragana and then write it in simple japanese (some of the old proverbs will not be understood by younger generation japanese unless simplified. last thing of course will be the meaning in english/hebrew. if neko or anyone thinks it's a good idea and want to pick up the glove and put those proverbs into one folder ar article or whatever i think we can all learn a lot. if nobody thinks it's a good idea, it's ok too, just forget about it. i'll put in the first one just to show how i think it shoud look. 温故知新-おんこちしん-on ko chi shin in simple-前に学んだことをおさらいして、新しい知識を得る。 in romaji-mae ni mananda koto wo osaraishite, atarashi chishiki wo eru. meaning-look at the things you already learned, and you will discover new knowledge. note: i do not mean it to be another kanji of the day and that`s why i didn't explain the kanji one by one. if any one want's to underatand the kanji (even though i don't think it's necessary) he can go to the dictionary (best option) or ask in the forum and maybe some one will go to the dictionary for him (worst option).
