extending visa - form i-539

sorry for writing an english.. internet cafe.. question: when i arrived to the usa, i got from the clerk only 2 months to stay (on my passport). i want to extend the visa, and i heared that i should download some application forms from the internet, and pay a fee between 100-200$. is it the i-539 form? pls - i want answers from someone who did it before. do u know a lawyers that will do it for me in reasonable fee? (because i'm kind'a broke..). btw. - i have to say that the fellows from that forum helped me a lot on other stuff and i want to say THANK U!

thanks, but something isn't clear to me: if i'll fill the forms to the immigration authorities, how could they reach me and give me an answer (if my request is accepted or declined) if i'm travelling in the usa? they will contact me by regular mail? if i'm travelling, i wont have any permanent adress, because i'm switching the adress almost every couple of weeks (that's the nature of travelling..) will they contact me by phone? or i will be able to check my status in the website? sorry for the ignorance, but i just don't know the rules.. thanks, joyspring

An application for post office box service may not be approved until the applicant's identity and current permanent physical address where he or she resides or conducts business is verified. Verification criteria are as follows: a. At the time of application, applicants must present two items of valid identification; one item must contain a photograph of the applicant. The following are acceptable identification: (1) Valid driver’s license or state non-driver’s identification card. (2) Armed forces, government, university, or recognized corporate identification card. (3) Passport, alien registration card, or certificate of naturalization. (4) Current lease, mortgage, or deed of trust. (5) Voter or vehicle registration card. (6) Home or vehicle insurance policy. b. The identification presented must be current.
