Getting ready to make that change
Hey fellow Aliyah members- I have several quick questions but I think I shlud explain my situation first (this is typing right to left like hebrew so please excuse the disorganization) I already found out about many of teh rights that I am entitled to as a Mishpaha Olah I am from Denver Colorado USA I was interested in the new law about bringing over personal belongins Do I have to pay tax or VAT on my personal belongings that I'm bringing in or are they still tax exempt Also if I want to bring over a new SUV, I have to pay a 50% tax on the car in addition to VAT, is that correct Were could I find out the information on the web regarding the cost attributed to vehicles that the State of Israel places on imported vehicles I tried going to their website but was unable to find a listing of taxes and VAT for vehicles Another question I have is related to work. I speak Russain, Hebrew and English fluently and was wondering what would be a good field to go and work in especially with today's current economic conditions in Israel. I have a degree in Finance B.S and was trying to figure out a good avenue as far as attaining a job Thanks for your help in advance Regards Gene D
