GMDSS תוספת לךשיון משיט בן לאומי

Saw an entry about a GMDSS addition on to a level 60 skipper licenses. I was told I can take the exam in the USA if I wanted to, and it will allow me to sail out from Israel as I’ll have my "Radio Officer" on board. Here is the Question: What is the course like in Israel? (In the US it is a 70-hour (2 weeks) course that gives the certification.) What is the exam like And finally what is the best way to take it given I do very short trips to Israel (probably 1 week) can I schedule the test on one of my visits and take it. In this case can I purchase the Hebrew training material from some training facility in Israel? Hope to hear some opinions on best way getting the GMDSS certification for someone like me who is out of the country. Thanks.

As far as I know, there are no GMDSS courses held in Israel any more, as all Merchant Marine officer took the exam already. The Marine Education authority used to conduct those courses. Try getting in touch with them. Capt. H. Hendel

GMDSS courses are definitely taking place in Israel noways. Almost every Marin sailing school teachs them You can do it in Haifa, Tel aviv and Ashdod .The course costs about 1300 Shekels I dont think its possible to learn by yourself, you need special simulators which are being used during the course Batia

שהוא מצוי ככל הנראה בחו"ל אני מניח שאין לו מקלדת עברית ומטעמי נוחיות הוא מקליד באנגלית. אבל תרגול אנגלית בפורום הוא חיובי ביותר מבחינתי.

So I type in english much faster and more conveniant. Pleas do not be ofended by it. When you sail around the world it will be good and you can put it to a good use. I do have a DAGESH hebrew word processor however for some reason I can not copy my hebrew to this forum. Anyway to the GMDSS question. What I want to do is get one of the Israeli schools to send me the material and do the major part on my own, I have a EE degree and ubderstand communication. Aliza our yacht has VHF, and ICOM 700 SSB plus two EPIRB and a INMARSAT mini M system . I understand the need for the school equipment and on my next visit in Israel (probably in the summer for a week) I´ll tray and do a few hours in the school for a few days and then take the exam. The idea is that in the USA they only have the full commercial GMDSS operator and this course takes 2 full weeks of a university level training! I think that the Israeli exam is not at that high level.א

מכיוון שהם נערכים לא בלימוד יומיומי אלא מפגשים פעם עד שלוש פעמים בשבוע הם לוקחים יותר משבועיים, בעיה נוספת היא שצריך לתאם את הבחינה, ואני לא בטוח שיש מועדים לתאום תוך שבועיים, אלא אם כן תתאם לך מועד מראש לפני ההגעה לכאן. סיליבוס של חומר הלימוד קבלתי בדואר ע"פ בקשה ששלחתי למשרד התקשורת במייל הם שלחו סיליבוס במעטפה, יתכן כי בפניה יוכלו לשלוח לך את הסיליבוס במייל , שווה לנסות. להבחן אפשר בעברית או באנגלית כאשר הבחינה באנגלית היא בחינה לROC בעברית היא ל"מפעיל רדיו מוגבל VHF בזיקה ל GMDSS". החומר סה"כ די זהה רק שהבחינה יותר "קשה" ולא רק בשל היותה באנגלית. בכל מקרה לפחות הצהרתית "ניתן לקיים בחינה על יאכטה באמצעות הציוד הנמצא בספינה עצמה וזאת בתאום מראש" ממליץ לך ליצור קשר עם משרד התקשורת מהם מידע יהיה מוסמך ולא ניחושים והערכות . והכי חשוב, בהצלחה
