Hay task 4
Hi We are in the Head quarters after giving GPS's to the orgenizers. Task today was 100km but it was kind'a out and return, or like an L. Ilan made 2 out of 3 waypoints (about 70km). He felt much better on the glider today but the conditions are very stable, unlikely to this place which called sometimes hell. The temperatures here are not so bad as last year - about 30-33 deg with no clouds at all. Wind direction is south to south wes. Tomorrow is the last day of the first competition then we start the pre worlds. Rumors say the Manfred is not coming because he doesn't like Hay. They say he will not come to the worlds as well. Will he do that?? We'll have to wait to next year About positions - Without today's task Ilan is 40 out of 65 pilots. Most of the pilots are used to the flying conditions here - it's totaly different for what we know in Israel. There is nothing to do with thermals triggers (only when you low) because of the flat area. If you fly alone you will probably land fast. After he had a late start yesterday he decided to take of early today - 50 minutes before the first start gate. That's all 4 now Have a nice week David
