It was requested that I post on this forum about my HBOT experiences with my five year old son David This past August, we completed forty dives at Miracle Mountain in rural North Carolina at 1.5 ATA for one hour per dive After our return flight, we did four dives at 1.4 ATA for nearly one hour each at Asaf Harofeh with Dr. Gal David tolerated all of the dives beautifully Asaf Harofeh will be closed until later this month The cost there is 400 shekels for each of the first ten dives and then 300 shekels per dive We saw improvements in eye contact, social skills and language We saw one severely damaged little boy make miraculous gains at Miracle Mountain It is more difficult to assess gains in higher functioning kids It is recommended to do the first forty in a block Unfortunately, Asaf Harofeh is only open 7:30 until 15:30 and that precludes any gan/school for the child, especially since they insisted on scheduling my son for 12:30 I would like to get a group together and 1)ask for a discounted rate at Asaf Harofe and 2) ask for evening hours so that our kids don't have to miss 40 days of school in a row (eight weeks since the chamber is not open Fridays or Shabbat Be forewarned that being under pressure for an hour, even without the oxygen hood is exhausting and you will require more sleep than usual, at least I did An extensive comparison between the two chambers that I experienced can be found in the Septemeber messages from the yahoogroup IsraelRecoveryNet I can be contacted at (02) 991-4712 or at [email protected]
