IDF for doctors

I am planning to make Aliyah in december after I graduated from medical school. Right now I am 29. To be able to work as a doctor in Israel I have to pass the israeli exam and do 1 year of stage (internship). Before that I plan to do an ulpan (1/2 - 1 year). Will the IDF draft me? When will they do that? Will I work as a doctor in the military?

I'm male, 29. I heard they draft doctors till the age of 32 - that would apply for me. Is it possible to do the stage (internship) in the military?

Male Doctors in the army

I cannot of course answer for the army but as far as I know for now (and they are changing their draft policy a lot) they do draft Doctors if on the day of your arrival to Israel (that's what counts, not the Aliyah date) you are under 32 years old. Doctors serve 18 months I don't know if you can do stage in the military, I can ask but it may take a while, they work with Faxes still (no e-mail for security reasons), so the Faxes are piling up....
