Leonard Cohen has finished his new book, Book of Longing, a collection of previously unpublished poems and drawings, many of them written and drawn on Mount Baldy and India. The book will be published on September 5, 2006, by McClelland And Stewart Ltd. (Toronto) and HarperCollins (New York). 328 pages. ISBN 0771022344.

Cohen is now working on new songs for his next album (for mid-2006 release?) Leonard Cohen and Anjani Thomas have been working on new songs for Anjani's forthcoming album BLUE ALERT. The album will be released in Spring 2006 by Sony.
