תקציר הפרק: סם ודין חוקרים עיירה קטנה בויסקונסין שבה ילדים נכנסים לתרדמת ללא סיבה גלויה. האחים מגלים שמכשפה מתגנבת לחדרי השינה של הילדים וגונבת את "כוח החיים" שלהם. בזמן לחימתו במכשפה, דין נזכר בטעות שעשה בעבר שכמעט עלתה בחייו של סם בידיה של אותה מכשפה, אירוע שחיזק את ההגנה של דין על סם ואת הצייתנות העיוורת שלו לאביו. הערה: תורגם ע"י איתן (dark warrior)

תקציר הפרק:

Sam and Dean investigate a small town in Wisconsin where children are falling into comas for no apparent reason. The brothers discover that a witch is creeping into the bedrooms of the children and stealing their "life force." While battling the witch, Dean recalls a past mistake that almost cost Sam his life at the hands of the very same witch, an event which has fueled Dean's protectiveness over Sam and his blind obedience to his father.​

Something Wicked this Way Comes is a 1962 story written by Ray Bradbury involving children involved with the supernatural. Bradbury was inspired by the line "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes," from Shakespeare's MacBeth. Bradbury's novel was made into a movie in 1983, starring Jason Robards and Jonathan Pryce.​

The cartoon that Sam is seen watching during Dean's first childhood flashback is Thundercats, an 80's cartoon about a group of cat-like creatures who battle evil mutants on a foreign planet.

When recounting other places the "Shtriga" hit Sam says that it had been to "Brockway, Odgenville, and North Haverbrook" These same (fictional) towns were swindled out of a fortune by unscruplous con-man Lyle Lanley in The Simpsons episode " Marge vs. the Monorail."

Erica Carroll previously played a nurse in the episode "Faith." That episode was in Nebraska, this one in Wisconsin.

Ridge Canipe also played a young boy named Dean in a TV movie called Supernatural that first aired in 2005.

In one scene when Dean is in the children's hospital ward, he is talking to Sam on his cell phone. Cell phones are not permitted in such sensitive areas.

In the scene when Sam and Dean drive to Fitchburg there is a sign on the left which (incorrectly) says "Fitchberg" and a sign on the right which correctly says "Fitchburg."

The credit card Dean uses for the guys' motel room is a MasterCard bearing the name of Kris Warren.​

Dean: Second, it wouldn’t have done any good cause the bastard’s bulletproof unless he’s chowing down on something. And third, I wasn’t packing. Which is probably a really good thing cause I probably would have just burned a clip in him off of the principal alone. Sam: Hey Dean, I'm sorry. Dean: For what? Sam: You know, I've really given you a lot of crap for always following Dad's orders. But I know why you do it. Dean: Oh god, kill me now. Sam: An old person, huh? Dean: Yeah. Sam: In the hospital? Whew, better call the Coast Guard!​

פרק מעניין..

היו יותר טובים, אבל מה שאהבתי בפרק הזה זה הפלשבקים של דין שזה נתן לנו מין הצצה על הילדות שלהם, מה שמסקרן אותי. תחשבו על זה, איך הם למדו? איך הם גדלו? הם הסתובבו בין עיר לעיר נגררו אחרי אבא שלהם בכל הארץ? סתם כמה שאלות שהעלה בי הפרק הזה...

פרק נחמד..

לא הכי טוב שהיה...היו יותר,אבל אני נהנת לצפות כל שבוע מחדש בפרק של הסדרה המצויינת הזאת. העלילה היתה נחמדה...הפלאשבקים היו אחלה למישהו יש תקציר לשבוע הבא?למה אני אהיה בחול

הוא היה יותר מרגש ממפחיד..כל הקטעים של סאם ודין כאחים וכמה הם דואגים אחד לשני זה מה שהכי אהבתי

אני חולה על הסדרה על הזאת... אבל לדעתי היה יותר מדי דמיון בין הרעיון של הפרק הזה, לבין הסוהרסנים בהארי פוטר! היצורים, הגלימות שלהם, הידיים שלהם, הם גונבים את הנשמה... נו באמת, לא נשמע קצת מוכר!?

אבל זה עדיין היה פרק מעולה. ויכול להיות שסוהרסן הוא לא המצאה של ג'יי קיי רולינג. יש מלא יצורים לע טבעיים שהם אגדות... אני לא בטוחה שזו העתקה.

זה רק אאני או שהיצור ההוא המכשפה הזאת די מזכירה לי סוהרסן מהארי פוטר???? בכל מקרה היה פרק ממש שוווה איזה מסכן דין שהוא היה צריך לשמור על סאם כל הילדות שלו תארו לכם הוא אפילו לא יכל לצאת מהבית!!!!
