JANET VS BEYONCE This may not be a Beyonce wardrobe malfunction, but it may possibly turn out to be a Beyonce interview malfunction. Reportedly Janet Jackson is furious at Beyonce Knowles-Carter after the singer made remarks in an interview that Janet Jackson took as rude about The Jackson’s and belittling her parents. In an interview, Beyonce is stated to have bragged about going to a private school, her father driving a Jaguar and the Knowles being an African-American family that works together. “I grew up upper class. Private school. My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like The Jackson’s. But I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation,” Beyonce reportedly told a reporter according to National Enquirer. Allegedly an insider told the magazine that Janet Jackson blew up over the comments. Here’s what the insider had to say: “Yes, Janet and the Jackson family came from Gary, Indiana, and there was a time they barely squeaked by. But Janet has many loving memories and is incensed that Beyonce would make a crack like that. Janet wanted to know why Beyonce had to mention her family. They’re not friends and barely know each other. She feels Beyonce went out of her way to tell the world she’s from the upper class and the Jacksons were like a bunch of dirty gutter rats. Janet is proud of her family and how they came from nothing and became superstars. Not only is Janet telling everyone who will listen that Beyonce has a lot of growing up to do and that she needs to stop trying to impress everyone, she’s planning to confront Beyonce herself and read her the riot act.”

MTV: Jay-Z might have made an honest woman out of Beyoncי in 2008, but the Golden Globe-nominated singer/actress wasn’t going to let some splashy wedding steal her spotlight. With Sasha Fierce alive and well as the singer’s alter ego, and her song “Once in a Lifetime” from the movie “Cadillac Records” up for a Golden Globe, Beyoncי proved that she certainly was fierce in ‘08. Too bad only the song was only ‘fierce’ enough for the nomination and not her acting. Maybe next time, Sasha, maybe next time. And not be left out, here is Solange doing what she does best, talking Yang Yang: During a dinner with friends, one source claims that Solange almost laughed when the subject was brought up saying, “What ever. Beyonce ain’t scared of Janet. All my sister did was tell the truth…she wasn’t trying to hurt nobody”. Some critics believe this is just a publicity stunt to get Janet back in the public eye, but we’re told that the two divas won’t be talking anytime soon. I don't how true this is so but seriously if it is true that Solonge said this then why can't Beyonce fight her own battle instead her sister fighting for her?

AllHipHop.com has received an exclusive report that Atlanta-based producer Jermaine Dupri’s tenure as President of Island Records Urban Music has come to an end. A formal announcement of his departure from the position, which he has held for nearly two years, may come as early as Thursday (Jan 8). Speaking on condition of anonymity, a source close to the situation confirmed to AllHipHop.com that Dupri has in fact been terminated effective immediately. The Island Records Urban Division was created within the Island Def Jam Music Group a short time prior to Dupri’s hiring in February 2007. In the position, he oversaw the label’s entire urban music operations, reporting directly to label Chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Steve Bartells, President of Island Music and COO of the Island Def Jam Music Group. Having enjoyed tremendous success with Island Records songbird Mariah Carey on The Emancipation of Mimi, Dupri’s duties also included providing production for the Music Group’s entire roster. In April 2008, Island/Def Jam announced the creation of TAG Records, a new venture with Procter & Gamble’s TAG brand to be helmed by Dupri. The partnership created a new marketing module that allowed for new talent, like So So Def/TAG artist Q, to be cross-promoted in conjunction with TAG body sprays through print, television, radio, and digital advertising. No word on how Dupri’s departure will affect TAG Records, nor the roster of artists on So So Def, which has been distributed through Island Urban since 2007. "Two titans in the industry, Jermaine Dupri and Island Def Jam Music Group, have partnered with TAG Body Spray to create TAG Records."
