אחוזי ההצלחה: (לשים לב, מחקר מ- 1998, לצערי) במחקר נכללו 4043 מחזורים (של החזרת עוברים) ב- 54 מרכזים. אחוזי ההצלחות להשגת הריון היו: 1 2 3 4 >4 33.7 27.0 33.9 27.4 28.9 וללידת תינוק חי: 1 2 3 4 >4 23.4 25.9 16.1 21.0 15.4 מסקנות המחקר: שיעורי ההצלחה לא יורדים באופן ניכר עם הגדלת מספר מחזורי IVF. יש השפעה לגיל על אחוזי ההצלחה, אבל הם מסבים את תשומת הלב לכך שנשים העושות הרבה מחזורי טיפול הן מבוגרות יותר (עקב הזמן שעבר בטיפולים). המקור: Success rate with repeated cycles of in vitro fertilization–embryo transfer David R.
