There was an interview afterwards too, everything should be available for download in a couple of weeks. The guys then had a video interview at the famous Rainbow Bar and Grill, can't remember who it was for though. Angels and Airwaves were playing at the Roxy, so the guys went to see them play, must have been cool in such a small venue. The next day was the Just My Luck premiere. I wasn't invited, so instead went for dinner with Jenni, who used to play bass for Melanie C. I used to be her tech, haven't seen her for over a year so it was great to catch up again. Couldn't believe the taxi prices, $40 to get there, $70 to get back! The after party for the movie was in our hotel, so I had a ticket to get in. Still had to queue! Met some really nice fans waiting to get in.Security were being a nightmare, wouldn't let anyone under 21 in without a parent, so my attempt at pretending to be a cousin for some fans didn't work. Not what I was expecting for a Hollywood party, free booze and food, but it was finished by 12.30! The only celeb I spoke to was Makenzie Vega, who plays Katy in the movie. Really cool kid, down to earth, and a really great person. Carried on partying till the early hours in one of the hotel rooms! I stupidly dared Danny to give me a dead arm! Five days later I've still got the biggest bruise you've ever seen, his massive hands are like being hit by a rock! Flew to New York the next day, the record company had booked the most rubbish hotel, miles from anywhere. The girl on reception told us that it was illegal for anyone under 21 to have a rom to themselves! Managed to talk them round luckily. The guys had press the next day, so I went shopping. Only cool place I saw was the library from Ghostbusters! Couldn't believe how few book shops thee were, spent hours trying to find a particular book! Had to go back to the hotel to restring 7 guitars for the Hard Rock Cafe gig. Had to leave the hotel at 8am, straight to the Hard Rock Cafe. We hired in all the drums and amps, couldn't believe how crap the gear was! Had a nightmare setting everything up. The soundcheck, was nearly an hour late, so the guys didn't have much time to get a great sound on stage.
