The magic is gone between Sabrina and The WB. Melissa Joan Hart, star of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," is sounding off at The WB. She tells TV Guide that the network is playing so many games with her show, specifically by not ordering a full season of 22 episodes, that she´s not sure the show will survive for an eighth season next year. "First we got 13 episodes," she says. "We just got another six episodes and we´re waiting on the back three. I guess we have a really expensive show and for the price of our show, The WB could put two other shows in pilots. "The WB doesn´t care about us at all because no one there created the show ("Sabrina" originally aired on ABC)," Hart says. "They kind of just bought it to make their money. Because nobody there backs our show, nobody there is fully supporting it or putting their neck out for it." "It´s a price thing," Hart told TV Guide Online, "and it´s a pretty crappy way to treat a show as old as we are, but it happens." This season, "Sabrina" is averaging 3.37 million viewers, up from 3.13 million for all of last season. However, because of the show´s longevity, cast salaries are high - making it a costly production. "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" helped The WB to pull in an audience on Fridays despite a lack of promotion by The WB. A WB spokesman denied Hart´s claims and said "Sabrina" remains an important show for the network. Melissa says she has "no idea" if the show will return for an eighth season. Even so, she´s planning a season finale that will end on a note "that could send the show into an entirely new direction." "It would be an entirely adult show," she says. "I don´t know if The WB or the audience is ready for it."
