שם הפרק: ... And Expiation תקציר: The Camden family rallies together after Mary's arrest. Mary truly learns the consequences of her actions after she learns that she is losing her scholarship to college, faces possible school expulsion and jail time. Eric and Annie enlist the help of a lawyer who manages to get Mary enrolled in a community service program. Simon and Ruthie feel overwhelming pangs of guilt for having some knowlege of Mary's intentions and not telling their parients about it. Simon and Ruthie decide to visit many different houses of worship to attain atonement. Also, Matt moves back home to help with the family, but soon realizes he needs to live on his own.
משפחת קמדן מתמודדת עם תוצאות מעשיה של מרי:סיימון ורות'י חשים אשמים במה שקרה-שהם יכלו למנוע את זה.הם מתייעצים באנשי דת שונים (נוצרי קתולי,יהודי,ובודהסיטי),וכולם מגיעים לאותה מסקנה-דברו עם ההורים.לאחר שהם עושים זאת,הם אכן מרגישים יותר טוב....מאט רוצה לחזור הביתה לאחר המקרה עם מרי ,כדי לעשות סדר בדברים ולעזור-אך מגלה שהמשפחה המשיכה לתפקד בלעדיו,ומחליט להמשיך לגור מחוץ לבית.עונשה של מרי מסתכם בקנס כספי ותוכנית מחוץ לכלא שתעזור לה להשתקם ולחזור למוטב. דעתי על הפרק:פרק ממש יפה,לא שמאלצי
אהבתי איך סיימון ורות'י רצו לכפר על אשמתם,ובכל הדתות אמרו להם אותו דבר (ואולי זה מתוך הזדהות איתם-גם לי כואבת הבטן
),אהבתי את הנאום של לוסי,ושאריק הוכיח לכולם שאבא תמיד נשאר אבא גם אחרי .....
