למי שרוצה עוד תזכורת יפה ומרגשת, כי הרי לעולם לעולם לא נשכח. למי שמתרגש מהמחוה היפה. למי שרוצה להרגיש שהוא לא לבד. מישהי טרחה ואספה בחודשים האחרונים חומר בעזרת מעריצים מכל קצווי הגלובוס, שכולל סיפורים, שירים, תמונות, חוויות של ברי המזל שזכו לפגוש את האיש, וסתם - דברים שכתבו אנשים שגם בהם הוא הצליח לגעת. בקרוב מאוד יוצא הספר. חשוב להדגיש - הוא אינו למטרות רווח - המחיר מורכב מעלות ההדפסה ובנוסף תרומה לקרן למשפחתו. אני מפרסמת את ההודעה של קרוליין בשלמותה. היא מאמינה שהספר ייצא בסביבות דצמבר, אחרי שתספיק לנסוע לניו-זילנד, להפגש עם מייקל (אחד האחראיים על הקרן) ולהראות לו אותו. היא לא מבקשת תשלום כבר עכשיו, רק לדעת מי מעוניין, כדי שיהיה לה מושג כללי. גם מי שיכתוב לה לא מתחייב לשום דבר. כשהיא שלחה את ההודעה, לפני מספר ימים, היו 51 איש ברשימה. מאז הבנתי שנוספו עוד כמה עשרות, אני, כמובן, ביניהם. הנה הודעתה המקורית- (האימייל שלה מופיע בסוף) Hi all, (Sorry again for cross-posting) It´s been a week since my original announcement and you´ll be pleased to know that so far I have orders for 51 books. Thank you so much to all of you that have responded, I only hope the book lives up to your expectations. For those of you who missed the first notice, the book is something I´ve put together in memory of Kevin Smith. It is now at the printers so that I´ll be able to present Michael with a copy in his position as one of the Trustees of the Kevin Smith Trust Fund when I´m in New Zealand later this month. If you want a book (even if you´re not sure if you´ll be able to afford it) why haven´t you emailed me?! Do so now - or I´ll set Ares on you! (Seriously, all I want to know at the moment is whether you ´may´ want to buy a book when they´re ready in December) Just to remind you of the contents of the book, (which has extended to 68 pages) there are lots of really good photos of Kevin, (three pages are in colour) and stories from such bards as Arianna, McJude, Lunita and Rielle. Lunita´s story is an exclusive - you won´t find it anywhere else. There is a beautiful drawing of Kevin with his son Willard, there are remembrances and anecdotes from some of those of us lucky enough to have met Kevin. There´s poetry, and an interview with Kevin, done when he was in London for the Panathenaea in 2000. Dreamwatch never used the whole interview, you can see it in the book! I know it´s a little expensive - or it sure felt that way when I was trying to set the price, but I want to make a reasonable donation to the Trust Fund at the end of all this and I want you to have something worth keeping and taking out and looking at over the years to remember Smithy by.
