אנג'וי - למרות שרוב הסיכויים שלא תסיימו הכל אבל אתם יכולים לנסות... It's Valentine's Day in Newport, and everyone is still trying to return to normal after Oliver's incident. Kirsten tells Ryan, Seth, and Sandy about the Valentine's singles benefit for Newport Memorial, and how they are all going to be there, happy, and back to normal. At school, Marissa is ready for things to go back to normal, but Ryan isn't quite as willing to forget what happened with Oliver. Seth tells Summer that he and Anna have broken up, and he wants to know what she is doing for Valentine's Day. Summer is not pleased to be his "sloppy seconds" and tells him that she'll see him at the benefit, but she won't be with him. At the Newport Group, Sandy tries to get out of the benefit by saying he has things to do at the restaurant, but Kirsten won't have it and insists he go. Later that day, at Jimmy's, he receives a package from a secret admirer. Marissa denies sending the package, so Jimmy is perplexed. Marissa tells her father that she isn't going to have anything to do with Valentine's day this year. Over at Summer's, Seth drops by to talk to her about his and Anna's break-up. Seth tells her that he's only ever wanted her, even when he was with Anna. With that, Summer takes him onto her bed, and they have sex, for their very first time. Literally. Over at the Cooper house, Luke drops by to see Julie, only he pretends to be there to see Marissa. Julie is confused by the visit, but then Luke invites her to the Valentine's benefit. She tells him that she was going to be there anyway, and giggles, and he leaves, embarrassed. Back at Summer's, Seth and she have finished their first time, and it didn't go very well. They part company awkwardly. Finally, at the poolhouse, Marissa shows up and makes some advances toward Ryan, but he turns her away, saying it's too soon after the Oliver incident. Marissa regrets that it ever happened, and she could see Ryan's hurt. The next morning, Seth tells Ryan how awful the sex was with Summer. Ryan then tells Seth that he thinks its over between him and Marissa. At the same time, Summer and Marissa are at the beach, and Summer tells Marissa that she had sex with Seth, and that it was awful. Marissa tells Summer how horribly things went with Ryan the night before. Summer tells her not to worry so much, because no one could know that Oliver was such a psychopath. Ryan did know though, and no one listened, which is why Marissa feels so bad. Later, Jimmy drops by to see Kirsten, and he drops off a Valentine's Day snack for Kirsten. Marissa tells him that Hailey used to make those same treats, and that she sometimes stayed on a boat in the harbour, when other would think she was travelling the world. Seth approaches Sandy about having "the talk". Sandy gives the talk, and makes Seth squirm more than he ever though possible. The main topic: foreplay. Sandy approves of Seth's choice of Summer. With his new found knowledge, he goes back over to Summer's for a second round. It turns out to be as disastrous as the first. Setting up for the benefit, Ryan runs into Theresa, his old friend, and former girlfriend, from Chino. Theresa offers a sympathetic ear for Ryan to voice his stress over the recent events in Newport. When Marissa runs into the two conversing, she is surprised, and threatened. As the benefit gets under way, Marissa tries to begin anew with Ryan, but he refuses, saying he appreciates what she is trying to do, but that he needs some time. Seth also tells Summer that he can tell they aren't working out together. At the harbour, Jimmy finds Hailey, at a friend's boat as Kirsten guessed. Jimmy takes Hailey to see his new restaurant project, and she tells him she wants to try and see what can come of a relationship between them. Jimmy refuses due to his history with Kirsten, and Hailey understands. Back at the benefit, Theresa asks Ryan if he ever thinks of coming back to Chino. Ryan asks if she ever thinks of leaving. They both admit they think about it. Ryan asks Theresa if she wants to leave the benefit, and she accepts. Sandy counsels Marissa abut her relationship with Ryan, saying that they have been through too much to quit, and stupid arguments don't mean anything. Kirsten overhears his speech, and is quite impressed. On Marissa's way out of the benefit, she sees Ryan driving off with Theresa. Luke shows up at Julie's house, which she doesn't seem pleased about at first. She becomes amused by Luke's flattery, and stammering. He puts the charm on, and awkwardly tells her how he feels about her. Julie takes his hand, and a drink, and they kiss, and Julie invites him in for the night. Over at the Cohen's, Sandy redeems himself after passing off Valentine's as pointless, by taking Kirsten to their candle-lit bedroom covered in rose pedals. In Seth's room, Summer tells Seth that she wasn't a virgin when they had sex, which she'd never admitted to anyone. She had a reputation to uphold. Seth is shocked. They both regret blowing through their first time too quickly, and they agree to try again, which they do, and it is perfect, even if a little bit cheesy. As the night ends, Marissa storms into the poolhouse to Ryan, apologizing for how badly she treated him regarding Oliver. She tells him that she doesn't want to lose him, she won't. Ryan tells her that he can't pretend it didn't happen. Marissa leaves in tears. אז אם הגעתם לפה - באמת שאני גאה בכם ...^_^
