Israeli but not Israeli
My dad is Israeli, so according to the Israeli government im Israeli. However I do not have a mispar zehut or passport. Heres the problem... Im off to Israel on a long vacation (10+ months) where I will be touring, kibbutzing etc. However I have heard stories of guys my age (18) who have went to Israel but did not have an army defferent thingy. They were caught by the authorities and went to the Zahal. Heres my questions... 1) Without a mispar zehut and passport (and consequently army defferent) can the Israeli authorities stick me in the army against my will? 2) How long can I stay in Israel without much hassle from the authorities without having a mispar zehut? If I do experience problems.. how and where can I apply for a mispar zehut and passport and army defferent IN ISRAEL (Im actually off in a couple of days so I wont have time to arrange it with a consulate)? 3) Can I be forced into getting a mispar zehut by the Israeli government? Just out of interest, what would you guys do in my situation? should I just ignore this stuff and spend my vacation hoping that I wont experience problems? or should I apply immediatly for my Israeli ID?
