Hi again

So, have you opened a file via the Shaliach in Paris? is everything in order or are you making Aliyah on your own?

Hi odelial

I've opened a file here in NY. I'm making aliyah on my own and so far things are going smoothly. I'm planning on leaving soon(mid to end Nov); I'm really so excited to get there. I've also got quite a bit a family there so that should help. Thanks for your help. I've got a couple more questions I'll post now to get a maximum number of responses. All the best Al

Israeli citizen by father making al

Shalom everyone, I'm an Israeli citizen as my father is Israeli and I already have an identity number(but not a passport). I was born in the US and have always lived in the US. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if I have the same rights as any oleh chadash, if my current status changes anything regarding those rights. Also I'm planning to make my aliyah very soon-in 1 month- does this affect anything as well-as I don't have the time to go through the usual process. Thanks in advance Albert

Another Israeli citizen by father

Hey I made aliyah one and a half year ago. My father is Israeli. I had no rights until I made aliyah.. I think. After I made aliyah, I got the absorption basket and they mailed me. The army for oleh hadash is 3-6 months to my understanding of which a month is an army provided language learning - ulpan. But before you make an aliyah, you don't get too much to my understanding. You don't get before you give. Sounds reasonable to me..

Dear alnama../images/Emo133.gif

If you are making Aliyah in a month and you still do not know your rights i suggest that you make an appointment and quickly with a Shaliach. Especially regarding the army it is important to receive all the information ahead. Where are you from?
