Letter from Rabbi

I'm told I need a letter from my Rabbi attesting to my Jewishness. Anybody have any info about what has to be in the letter? I've only been in this (modern orthodox) community for 3 years. Thanks

Hi Usually it's a short letter indicating your name, your parent's names and the fact that they are Jewish and that you belong to the Jewish community or your mother does and you are her son. Sometimes the rabbi will also write that you maintain Jewish customs and attend the synagogue regularly
