No more trains in Israel?
No more trains in Israel?
After a fantastic few years of new lines opening all the time, it looks like in 2 years time it will stop. As far as I know the following will happen: 2003: Bet Shemesh, Rishonim 2004: Ben Gurion, Jerusalem S 2005: Modiin , Ashkelon For the future thereafter, I read articles, about South Ayalon, Dimona, Jerusalem A, Karmiel, Netivot, Sderot, Afula etc, but no real financing and work starts. It looks as if nothing will be decided today, we can forget about the rapid speed of new lines opening ever year. Is this the end of a short period of growth in the history of Israeli railways? Eric
