אריאל, את כל הביצועים היפים ניתן להסביר בכמה מילים: הפיפיסטרל הוא בעצם דאון ממונע . ל"אח הגדול" שלו (SINUS ) יש מוטת כנפיים של 17 מ' עם יחס דאיה של 1:20 , ואילו ל-VIRUS רק 15 מטר.
יש לו באמת ביצועים מצויינים . היבואן באיטליה לקח אותי פעם לטיסת הדגמה וכשבאנו לנחיתה היינו כמעט מעל לסף המסלול בגובה 3 ובעזרת הספוילרים הוא הנחית את המטוס בלי בעיה .
הודות לצריכת הדלק נמוכה טייס אחד טס מטוסקנה , נון-סטופ לפורטוגל , כ-2000 קמ . !
