Question about Aliyah

Hi, My name is Nadav and I recently arrived in Israel from Toronto Canada. I am 23 and also recently graduated from a Canadian university. I was also born in Israel and moved to Canada when I was three years old. I was told that if I was to make an aliyah to Israel that I would have to serve in the army although it is not clear for how long. Will this also interfere with finding a job here? Thanks

During your military service you'll be unable to work, therefore a close recruitment date might interfere you with finding a job, unless you're looking for a temporary short term low paying job, and even this doesn't promise you to find a job quickly because of the bad economical situation and the high unemployment rate, employers always prefer employees for a long term even in temporary low paying job (in some cases when a temporary job ends the employer would want you for another temporary job and so on, but you can never be sure about it).
