“Israeli real estate agents...they tend to be a mafia and engage in protectionism…” ?? I do not believe you actually think so. I think you have brought it to the extreme, just to make your point. These are people as we all are, some of them are good, some are bad. I would blame your overall reaction on the fact that there is a different of culture and the way of doing business between the way you are used to do and the way the Israeli real estate agents are doing. “provided that they should actually also take on the midot of good customer service and treat others as they would like to treat them.” To this I can not agree more. You are 100% right, and that is why I think that we have to dilute the Israeli society with many more Olim from North America...

americans in israel

yeah, I get the idea americans are considered rich and stupid by many israeli busines owners. First time I was there, i was with my ex-girlfriend (native israeli) and we went to eliat and she said dont speak english near the hotel guest when we check in because if they knew i was american they would try to screw us on the rate. On a few subsequent trips I have gotten the suspicion i was being screwed on the price of something. I think american tourists get that pretty much anywhere though.

Does anyone know if there are any israeli rental listing sitee online (english preferably). Also does anyone know if there are real estate or rental brokers who can take care of some details like phone,electric,highspeed internet setup before I would arrive in israel, this would be helpful as im trying to keep my current work from home job when I make aliyah. regards -dc
